Turner & Hooch
• TOP NOTCH (my top choices)
• HONORABLE MENTION (well worth watching)
• YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER (I like them but you might not)
• CLASSICS (Great movies up through the 1960s - many don't have any rating)
TURNER & HOOCH (1989) - PG - YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER
Tom Hanks, Mare Winningham, Craig T. Nelson
Summary - A detective must adopt the dog of a dead man to help him find the murderer.
Cautions -Some killings and a fetish from Tom Hanks in his underwear.
Commentary - Reviewer Jon Niccum described it best when he said, "A dumb idea that winds up being an entertaining buddy picture."
Turner & Hooch is at it's best if you just let Tom Hanks and a big slobbery dog do what they do best - be themselves. Don't worry about a weak plot, just enjoy the antics. Hanks is truly endearing, Winningham is a great match for him and the dog(s) is(are) very believable. You might even surprise yourself and get a little weepy at the end.
