RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK (1981) - PG - TOP NOTCH
Harrison Ford, Karen Allen, Paul Freeman
Summary - Archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones is hired by the U.S. government to find the Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis.
Cautions - Should be rated PG-13 for people dying in some gory but creative ways.
Commentary - This film was rated PG before the creation of PG-13 (introduced in 1984 to accommodate the complaints against the PG rating of the sequel, Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Doom.) So, technically it shouldn't be rated PG... but it is... so I'm keeping it on my list.
I don't need to tell you why this is one of the greatest adventure movies of all time. It is the standard by which all other adventures are measured.
