The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

 • TOP NOTCH (my top choices)
• HONORABLE MENTION (well worth watching)
• YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER (I like them but you might not)
• CLASSICS (Great movies up through the 1960s - many don't have any rating)

CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER (2010) - PG - YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER
Ben Barnes, Skandar Keynes, Georgie Henley

Summary -  Lucy and Edmund Pevensie return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace where they meet up with Prince Caspian for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. Along the way they encounter dragons, dwarves, merfolk, and a band of lost warriors before reaching the edge of the world.

Cautions - Some scenes might be scary to younger viewers. Will Poulter's eyebrows are out of control.

Commentary - Dawn Treader is the weakest of the Narnia installments but I think it still has a lot to offer. The child-empowering action rarely ceases, there's a cuddly animal sidekick in Simon Pegg's furry pint-sized warrior Reepicheep, and there's just enough of the scary stuff to keep wee ones on the edge of their seats. Presiding over it all is Liam Neeson's Aslan, the King of the Jungle-slash-Lord of Lords who delivers the film's parting, message: "In your world I have another name. You must learn to know me by it. That was the very reason you were brought to Narnia, that by knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there."
