Home Alone

• TOP NOTCH (my top choices)
• HONORABLE MENTION (well worth watching)
• YOU MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER (I like them but you might not)
• CLASSICS (Great movies up through the 1960s - many don't have any rating)

HOME ALONE (1991) - PG - HONORABLE MENTION
Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern

Summary -  An 8-year old troublemaker must protect his home from a pair of burglars when he is accidentally left home alone by his family during Christmas vacation.

Cautions - Some casual swearing and cartoon violence.

Commentary - This was not a film I was excited to re-watch for this project. I admit to being delighted that the movie held up as well as it did to even a grinchy viewer such as myself. It's achieved virtually iconic status and, well, it deserves it.

Home Alone is a well written family adventure that is genuinely entertaining and very clever. And, come on, you've got to admit - the kid is really funny!

If it's been more than 20 years since you last saw it, you really need to see it again.
